Welcome to Orchard!

We’ve begun to feel it in the air and see it in the trees. The Fall season is here. It’s interesting that while Autumn is a beautiful time of year, it’s also a reminder that life contains cycles of beginnings and endings. Budding eventually leads to barrenness. Yet death never has the last word since life again welcomes us in the Spring.

Just as God has woven seasons within nature, He takes us through seasons in our own lives. Our seasons can often mimic Spring, Summer, Fall and even the deadness of Winter. The Winter season can often feel like the longest of all . . . when it seems new life will never come. Yet, in God’s mysterious way, death leads us back to new life, thanks to Jesus Christ!

As we journey through our Fall and Winter seasons at OVCC, we invite you to join us as we embark in a study of Learning To Pray the Book of Psalms, where we will encounter ancient prayers that address whatever season you may find yourself: Perhaps a season of disorientation (loss, loneliness and sorrow) or a season of re-orientation (discovery, new life, and thanksgiving). These Psalms allow you to meet the Shepherd King who lovingly meets you . . . and guides you . . . through your particular season.

We welcome you to join us! If you have any questions, please email me at curt@orchardvalley.org or our church staff at staff@orchardvalley.org. Or you can call (408) 634-6822.
